About me

Hi I am Tom and have been through a lot in my 37 years of time on this earth.  Since 1994 I have lost  15 people that have either been family or friends. I started Good Grievings to reach you or someone you know that may be hurting or angry.   I want you to know that “you are not alone”.  The pain, the hurt, the sadness is felt by many people each day. Grief is something that we all go through in stages and there isn’t a specific order that they go in. I’m here to tell you I still deal with the loss of my mom and sister each day. At the age of 18 I lost my mother at the age of 47 in 2000 to a pulmonary embolism (blood clot) and my sister at the age of 25 to a heart attack in 2009, 6 weeks before my wedding.

Even 18 years after my mom and 9 years after my sister left me I still deal with the anger and sadness.  I have accepted it? yes, but with a lot of help along the way.  With each death that I have experienced I have had to relive it when someone else has died.  It’s a constant reminder that this is all apart of life.  It’s all apart of life that sucks, it’s sucks that our loved ones die.  That only means that it’s there time to leave this earth and begin to watch over us. In one of my next posts you ll read that I actually lived a comforting yet out of no where experience. So, please follow along and share the love of what I’m doing with this blog.  And always remember to keep the memories of your lost loved ones with you, where ever you go.
Cheers,

Tom
